What this website collects, what happens to it, and who to ask about it. Written in plain English, and limited to what the site actually does.

If you just browse the site
This website can use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to count visits and see which pages people use — but only if you agree. The first time you visit, a banner at the bottom of the page asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you choose Accept, Google Analytics is not loaded and nothing about your visit is sent to Google.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and sends information about your visit to Google — such as the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, and your browser and device. Google receives your IP address as part of that connection. How Google handles that information is explained on Google's page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
If you have accepted analytics and you send us an estimate request, Google Analytics also records that a request was sent and which service it was for. It does not receive your name, your contact details or anything you typed into the form.
You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Choosing Decline stops Google Analytics and removes its cookies from your browser for this site.
The site does not show adverts and does not use advertising tags.
Like almost every website, the server that hosts this site may keep standard technical logs of requests, such as IP addresses and the pages requested.
If you send us an estimate request
When you use the form on the contact page, the site collects:
- your name, phone number and email address
- the street address, if you give one
- the service you need and anything you write in the details box
Along with that, it records automatically:
- the date and time you sent it
- your IP address
- the page you came to the form from, if your browser shares it
What we use it for
We use your details to reply to your request and give you a price. The date, time and IP address are used to protect the form from spam and repeated automated submissions.
Where it goes
Your request is sent by email to the business's two inboxes. One of those inboxes is hosted by Yahoo, so a copy of your request is stored with that email provider. The email is sent through our web host's mail service.
A copy is also saved in a file on the web server, so that a request is not lost if an email fails to arrive. That file is not publicly accessible.
Apart from delivering your request as described above, the website does not pass the details you type into the form to anyone else.
How long it is kept
There is currently no fixed schedule for deleting form submissions. If you would like us to remove yours, contact us using the details below and ask.
Cookies and your cookie choice

Google Analytics cookies (named
_gaand_ga_followed by an ID) — only if you accept. They are used to count visits, and by Google's default they can last up to two years. - One session cookie of our own, set only when you open the contact page or send the form. It is used to stop automated spam submissions, it is not used to track you, it cannot be read by scripts on the page, and it is deleted when you close your browser.
Your Accept or Decline choice is remembered in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, so the banner does not ask again on every page. It stays on your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data resets it, and the banner will ask again.
