Have you ever watched a professional window washer their job, and wonder how they get such a perfect job so quickly, and seemingly with only the use of the simplest of tools? When it comes to window washing, there are some important facts about the trade that you should know before hiring a local window washing company.

The real key to a professional window washing job is all about the right window washing tools. This includes a good quality squeegee, scraper, window bucket, and microfiber cloths. Your professional window washer should be using a squeegee 10″ to 16″ in length made from quality brass or stainless steel. To compliment the work of the squeegee, they should also be equipped with a quality window scrubber and an extension pole (if necessary) if working on high windows. You will want to make sure they are using microfiber cloths, which are lint-free, won’t leave streaks, and will not scratch your window surfaces even if they’re tinted.

Their technique should be as follows: their bucket should be filled with cool or lukewarm water (never hot) and add a small amount of professional cleaning liquid. They should always begin by wiping away any cobwebs or debris on or around the window. Once they begin to wash the window you should notice they are careful not to use too much of the water and cleaning solution on your window. This is wasteful and actually hinders the cleaning process. If they ever need to use their scraper to get rid of stubborn spots, be sure that the window is wet. A professional window washer will never scrape a dry window.

So, how do they leave your windows so sparkling clean and streak-free? This process can only be achieved through the use of a dry rubber blade. Professional window washer will always start this blade against the top of the window, pulling it down smoothly in one fluid motion to the bottom of the window, using a rag to dry the blade between each stroke. They are always careful to avoid touching the squeegee to any dry portion of the window in order to prevent drips and streaks.

To complete the window cleaning process, skilled window washers will always use a clean, dry microfiber cloth around the edges of your windows. This process will soak up any remaining drips that always seem to hide in the small recesses of your window frames. Your windows should be crystal clear and sparkling clean!

The one thing I am learning when you offer a service it is great when some one refers you to a client.I know of another window cleaning company that does windows but not power washing.he gave the owner the number of a window cleaning supply company.where I was talking with my friend paul.I talked to the owner gave him a bid and was able to make a couple hundred extra dollars it is great when you offer other services other than window cleaning you never know when it will come in handy!

Do you ever feel like you clean your windows over and over again, yet they are never clean and ALWAYS appear foggy? Cleanliness is not your problem! However stress no more, at Brite Windows one of our specialties is foggy window repair and we will gladly be at your service to cure your “foggy window” dilemma. According to window professionals throughout the industry, including the experts at Brite Windows, a “foggy window” is the result of a defect in the window glass itself. When the condensation of water vapor gets trapped between the thermal panes, the result is a foggy appearance. Often consumers have a misconception that they must replace the entire window, however that is not the case. A “foggy window” can be corrected by simply replacing the glass.

window cleaning bids

This week was very productive with doing bids getting help from clients i have been windows for years.I do my best to competive with my prices it is not easy because every window cleaner has a diffferent system on how to bid jobs because of all the different types of windows.Because the hardest windows to bid are french windows they take longer to do because you have to deal with each little pane. Some of us charge by every pane of glass but it takes time to count each one I do it how many panes make up a window I looked at a house on thursday and it had a total of about 85 windows which has an average of 10 to 12 panes per window you do the math. Now your standard house is alot easier to count.because of the design.than you have different problems with all jobs also some people try to do a bid by the square footage of the house the general rule is 10 to 12 windows for every 1000 sq feet if I use my house which is about 2000 square feet I should have about 20 to 24 windows but my house has only 12 windows so if you bid for 20 you would be charging to much also another good thing is to is to have a minium charge which is around $100.00 this helps cover for travel time the one thing I have learned in all these years of service every house is different beause of when the house was built and also the builder alot of people are shocked if they have 50 windows and you tell them it will cost $400.00 to do the windows in and out. people need to realize that I am providing a service.if a plumber comes to your house they give you a bill and you pay it. I love to do windows because you tell the differance when you get them cleaned
